Matt Rogan
Matt's safari duties, since arriving in Kiba Point in 2010, have been diverse: from modeling during our recent Nomad camp photo shoot ("go and stand over there Matt, yes go back go back, closer to that herd of elephants"), to becoming an odd-job man and builder during the camp's off-season and refurbishment, to very capably and with huge enthusiasm, making sure that the guests at Kiba Point have the very best safari.
Before Kiba Point, he wasn't all that far away and was studying large ungulates (hoofed mammals, before you ask) in the eastern Selous. He was also involved with an NGO in Arusha, and knows the country very well.
Running Kiba Point has been his first foray into the world of tourism, but his love for safaris and the outdoors makes him a natural and knowledgeable host.
