Cornelius Mukus
Cornelius is one of Nomad's "Elder Statesmen". There is not a lot that he doesn't know about the bush and what is out there and, as well as this, he speaks fluent Italian and conversational French.
Born in Maasailand, he went on to become a teacher in both Tanzania and Kenya, specializing in Geography and English; it's probably this background that gives him such scholarly gravitas.
Exceedingly well-read, he has read almost the entire collection of books by Laurens van der Post, and is a huge fan of the greats such as Ernest Hemingway and John Steinbeck, as well as very much enjoying the humour of Bill Bryson. He's also light-hearted and fun to be on safari with, having amazing eyesight and never failing to spot a lion on a far-off rock.
