Eric & Natasha, Lamai Serengeti
Eric, born in Kenya and raised in the Tanzanian bush, is the son of an archeologist and an anthropologist. Eric’s early years were spent primarily in the bush, immersed in nature, but when his parents realised that he could only speak Kiswahili at the age of 7, they decided to send him to boarding schools abroad. After finishing his studies in Australia, Eric returned to his home in Tanzania.
Natasha, born in Germany, daughter to a British artist and a Syrian environmental chemist, spent her childhood traveling and living in different countries with her family. No matter where she lived, from the Baltic Sea to the Blue Ridge Mountains, nature has always been a big part of her life. After finishing University in the UK, she returned to Germany where she started her own business and then went on to work in the television industry. This would be the beginning to her life in Tanzania.
Eric and Natasha met on a film project in northern Tanzania, where they worked together for 5 weeks. Over their time together, Natasha became captivated by the Tanzanian wilderness and they soon fell in love with each other. After living together on the Western slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, and spending some time living and working in Arusha, the call of the wild was too loud. They embarked on the next big adventure of their life and took up the mantle of Managers at Sand Rivers Selous and after two years on the banks of the Rufiji, they now find themselves in the Northern Serengeti leading the fantastic team at Lamai Serengeti.
