Whilst Mark & Chloe have only recently arrived at Sand Rivers, they're certainly not new to the Selous, or to Tanzania.  Mark was born here, to a tea farming family in the southern highlands of Tanzania. Hanging out with cheetah's at the age of 6,  certainly got him heading in the safari guide direction.  He worked as a guide and lodge manager in South Africa, before returning to the Selous where he's been leading safaris in both the northern and southern Selous for the last 6 years. Walking safaris are his specialty. 

Chloe has spent the last 6 years alongside Mark in the Selous. An astronomy buff, she's also a very knowledgeable birder and is currently working on a diploma in wildlife management.  Mark is a very keen, and published, photographer and the Selous' birds and wildlife are keenly scrutinized from behind his zoom lens, appearing regularly on the Sand Rivers blog.
