Serengeti Safari Camp and Sand Rivers Selous - feedback from our clients Share
Generally they thought that the service and standards were excellent and they really liked everyone they met. All the logistics were perfect and they really liked the contrast between the Serengeti and the Selous.
At Serengeti Safari Camp they liked the comfort and the standards and felt that it was really well run. They had Ali and Godwin as their guides and felt they were absolutely spectacular both in terms of the quality of their guiding and the way they read the group, especially the kids. Their sightings were excellent, they saw the migration and saw cheetah and lion on a kill and saw everything they were hoping for.
Sand Rivers they loved. Thought the rooms were amazing and had great fun with the monkeys in the morning. Mike and Carol were amazing and they had a great time with them. They loved how there was a new surprise around every corner e.g. bush breakfast and cocktails in the viewing platform. Great general game. Their guides were Vanee and Masaia and again they found them highly skilled and fantastic with the kids.
Overall they rates their trip 11 out of 10 and would do it again in a second.
Please extend my thanks to everyone for doing such a great job and making up look so good.

Sand Rivers and others - the best trip Share
My ohh my!! That was absolutely the best trip of my entire life.
(Our life) It was such a great experience. We loved every minute.
Thank you so much for setting this up. We saw probably 40 species of
animals, not including the birds. Great people, food, accommodations.
So many little surprises along the way at every stop for our
honeymoon, which I know is because of you. We already miss being
there. Everyone needs to save up and go.

Nomad, guides and Sand Rivers - made the trip! Share
Halifa was fantastic. He cottoned on very quickly to their needs, wants. He clearly had read our deatails, as had Sand Rivers Selous management which we like very much so they knew something about us before arrival. ( not the case with the non Nomad properties)
His vehicle was always immac. Cleaned, Fridge for cold drinks, waste paper cleared each day
Attention to detail..excellent.
He didnt falter even on a long day and was always ready when they wanted early starts.
Saw amazing wildlife in Crater; Hyena taking a wildebeest and a new born Buffalo. Leopard on the crater im road. Talked to the chief Vet at HQ..nice touch as she is an expert on horse breeding here in UK. Also as instructed went down into Serengeti area via Endulen.
Food top stuff in camps. Loliondo was wet, no game but staff made up for it with surprise bush breakfasts etc.
Halifa made the trip
please send mingi asante sanas.
Nomad use older guides with experience and such thought and attention to detail
Sand Rivers Selous: also superb. Brilliant new management couple. Made them feel as if in a home. Good guide called Peter. Fly Camp ...began to rain so canvas sheets put over their fly tents at 0400.good. Best food of the trip. Mike and Carol also nice with the staff which made for great atmosphere. Appreciated the suite upgrade ...thank you.

Sand Rivers Selous - Incredible Share
On to Sand Rivers ! Our stay there has been incredible, there is nothing that we could think of to make it any better !
We were met at the airstrip by our guide , went directly on a drive to see our fist giraffes, impalas
Fantastic !
Then we went to the lodge, met Mike and Carol the managers. Carol took us to our rooms, they were connecting and each had a bathroom. Beautiful. Everyone has been incredibly friendly; all the guides come and introduce themselves. It is all quite relaxed.
Everything that needed some attention in the room was taken care of within minutes.
Having dinner on one long table was lovely, our children have really enjoyed that part too. Nice to hear everyones stories ! The food was delicious, incredible variety considering the distance everything travels to get there ! I even had the surprise to have a chocolate birthday cake !
The level of service is fantastic.
We drove around quite a bit, had 2 river tours, a walking safari. We saw a lot. The fly camping will be a long lasting memory! All is so well organised and planned! We arrived just before sunset to a perfect seating by a lake with all the tents up and chairs out to have a sundowner ! What a treat!

Sand Rivers Selous - could not recommend it highly enough Share
Speaking for us both, we could not recommend Sand Rivers highly enough. It has a new managing couple, Mike and Carol, who were really warm, effective and down to earth. Our complimentary upgrade was very welcome indeed, though we had the use of a more typical room on our last morning and thought it was also excellent. (Ed claimed to prefer it!)
The fly-camping was a fantastic experience - a very de luxe campsite by a lakeside, with hippos tramping in and out - and one I'm sure lots of people would enjoy.

A Nomad Safari - the highlights Share
Sand Rivers Lodge was one of those once in a life time places!!! It was so beautifully located...and we loved rising to the sound of the hippos!!!
We adored the tented camp in the Serengeti! It was such a treat to return to a hot "bucket shower", and then sip our sundowner on our little porch, sit around the fire and later enjoy the evening meal and the company of other guests.
We appreciated all of the staff at Nomad Tanzania. We loved their warm greetings when we arrived and then that they were all in a line to shake our hands when we left. It was a most gracious and warm way to begin and end. They did their work well and clearly had thought of everything to make one's stay in a bush camp be comfortable and memorable. We will recommend them highly!
We appreciated each one of our guides! All of them were knowledgeable about the area and the animals/birds. Peter was so warm, always called us by name, was eager to please and clearly delighted that we were so excited about the things we were seeing. Halifa was informed about the history and politics of Tanzania and engaged our questions most thoughtfully. We were with Festo the longest. He asked us immediately what we were interested in, and then consistently sought to enable us to really observe and understand more about animal behaviour. He, himself was interested in photography and was always working to get us the best shots or to put the jeep in the best light.
He explained that Nomad Tanzania gave their guides specific training in photography, and that certainly is an advantage. When we expressed interest in having a day game drive in Loliondo, Festo also took initiative to make it happen.
We thought it was terrific that they acted as our hosts, and we appreciated their serving lunch and then chatting with us as we shared our meals. All three were good company!
