Serengeti Safari Camp - superb

Now back , we just wanted to give feedback forour  unforgettable Christmas safari atthe Serengeti Camp.  Everything wasflawless and highly enjoyable.  Ourguide, Ally Kea, was by far the best guide we had on the trip, not only veryknowledgeable, but also very empathetic and focused on what we were lookingfor.  Truly a superb performance. Serengeti Safari Camp - exceeded our expectations

We have returned from a fantastic trip which not only lived up to our expectations but far exceeded them.    We were so pleased to accept your planning and do the safaris in the order you arranged starting with Lake Manyara then the Ngorogoro Highlands and Crater and then the Serengeti plains.  It just got better and better and we saw everything possible in what we felt was the right sequence.

The wildebeest migration was all around us and we felt we had personally encountered almost all of the 2m of them! The walking and night drive were such a bonus too and gave an added dimension to our trip. We never felt rushed and during the early and late game drives we really felt at one with the whole ecosystem.  The little things like the busy dung beetles walking on their front legs  heads down and pushing dung with their backlegs, were as fascinating as the big game, and the rain (though not too much of it) made the grasses and herbs and flowers so green and fragrant, another bonus. We really loved it all.

Our guide Halifa from Nomad was excellent, a fount of knowledge and such a character. He never stopped smiling, and his manner and attentiveness was hugely impressive.  He really helped us see his beloved Tanzania through his eyes.   The Camps were great and the food and service delicious and brilliant at all times.  We have no niggles or complaints about anything at all.

Serengeti Safari Camp and Sand Rivers Selous - feedback from our clients

Generally they thought that the service and standards were excellent and they really liked everyone they met. All the logistics were perfect and they really liked the contrast between the Serengeti and the Selous.

At Serengeti Safari Camp they liked the comfort and the standards and felt that it was really well run. They had Ali and Godwin as their guides and felt they were absolutely spectacular both in terms of the quality of their guiding and the way they read the group, especially the kids. Their sightings were excellent, they saw the migration and saw cheetah and lion on a kill and saw everything they were hoping for.

Sand Rivers they loved. Thought the rooms were amazing and had great fun with the monkeys in the morning. Mike and Carol were amazing and they had a great time with them. They loved how there was a new surprise around every corner e.g. bush breakfast and cocktails in the viewing platform. Great general game. Their guides were Vanee and Masaia and again they found them highly skilled and fantastic with the kids.

Overall they rates their trip 11 out of 10 and would do it again in a second.

Please extend my thanks to everyone for doing such a great job and making up look so good.

Serengeti Safari Camp & Nduara Loliondo - exceeded our expectations.

just to let you know, we had a great time.  found nomad to be a great company.  guide was great. he showed us more wildlife than i ever expected.  even lined vehicle up so that we had best photographic lighting.

camps and lodges were fantastic.  we were amazed at onsea house- lovrd it (fixed us gourmet dinner at midnight) and plantation lodge.  (gorgeous setting) as well as camps.

loved all the stops.  lolliando was a bit slow for us who have to be on the go constantly but the activities provided were memorable.

everything fit together.  went off without a hitch.

i've wanted to do a safari since the age of 8 ( am now 60) .  the trip exceeded my expectations.

A Nomad Safari - the highlights

Sand Rivers Lodge was one of those once in a life time places!!!  It was so beautifully located...and we loved rising to the sound of the hippos!!!

We adored the tented camp in the Serengeti!  It was such a treat to return to a hot "bucket shower", and then sip our sundowner on our little porch, sit around the fire and later enjoy the evening meal and the company of other guests.

We appreciated all of the staff at Nomad Tanzania.  We loved their warm greetings when we arrived and then that they were all in a line to shake our hands when we left.  It was a most gracious and warm way to begin and end.  They did their work well and clearly had thought of everything to make one's stay in a bush camp be comfortable and memorable.  We will recommend them highly!

We appreciated each one of our guides!  All of them were knowledgeable about the area and the animals/birds. Peter was so warm, always called us by name, was eager to please and clearly delighted that we were so excited about the things we were seeing.  Halifa was informed about the history and politics of Tanzania and engaged our questions most thoughtfully.  We were with Festo the longest.  He asked us immediately what we were interested in, and then consistently sought to enable us to really observe and understand more about animal behaviour.  He, himself was interested in photography and was always working to get us the best shots or to put the jeep in the best light.

He explained that Nomad Tanzania gave their guides specific training in photography, and that certainly is an advantage.   When we expressed interest in having a day game drive in Loliondo, Festo also took initiative to make it happen.

We thought it was terrific that they acted as our hosts, and we appreciated their serving lunch and then chatting with us as we shared our meals.  All three were good company!
