Crissing and Crossing

29 August 2014

It's that time of year when we struggle to find something new to write on our migration blog. Basically there are plenty of herds up in the northern Serengeti busy criss-crossing the Mara River. Some guests in our Lamai Serengeti and Serengeti Safari Camps have witnessed major crossings. Kenya has received quite a bit of rain, and Kogatende and Nyamalumbwa areas are green as well which means the beasts are spoilt for choice. There are also great cat sightings: cheetah, lion and leopard, and many of our guests also spot rhino, yesterday even from the balloon.

And although it's not the Serengeti, we thought we'd share that guests in Kuro Tarangire seem to be seeing a lot of wild dogs recently. We even had wild dogs hunting impala right in camp, killing close to the hot water boiler which is mighty exciting!

Thank you to our guest, Vincent Ong, for this wonderful photo.
