Day 1 - Serengeti Safari Camp
- Morning flight from Arusha to Ndutu in the southern Serengeti plains. Met by your private Nomad car & guide for short game drive to camp on the edge of the Ndutu woodlands.

- Settle into Serengeti Safari Camp for a delicious lunch, siesta in the heat of the day before heading out on an afternoon game drive. return to camp for hot showers, ice cold drinks around the fire and a delicious dinner.

Day 2 - Serengeti Safari Camp
- You entirely dictate the pace in discussion with your guide. Search for Lion or Cheetah along the edge of the woodland or head out into the vast plains to get amongst the wildebeest migration, along with huge herds of zebra & gazelle.

- You'll be surprised by the fabulous mix of birdlife in this area as well as the carpet of flowers that develops with the first rains. In early February the wildebeest calving will peak and, with it, increased chances of predator activity.

- Evening game drives in this area can be good for leopard, as well as other small African cats like Serval, African Wild cat or even Caracal if you're extremely lucky.

Day 3 - Nduara Loliondo

- Full day on the move today as you head east towards Gol Mountains. Take your time and savour the splendour of the plains and, the farther east you go, the feeling of isolation in this vast landscape. Check out the water pans, often home to big groups of lion or hyena.

Day 4 - Nduara Loliondo

- The Piyaya area of Loliondo is like a vast private Serengeti with its own wide open plains, acacia woodland, riverlines & kopjes - there to be enjoyed by you, your private guide and a few local Maasai, who Nomad have been partnering with for many years.

- Night drives are a must while at Nduara, either on the way back from sundowners or, for the committed, head out after supper with blankets and a nip of whisky to ward off the cold.

Day 5 - Nduara Loliondo
- Enjoy walking safaris with the maasai and one of Nomads excellent armed scouts. Cook out breakfasts, bush picnics on the move or leisurely sundowners. Football on the plains and bow & arrow or spear throwing competitions for the kids. Life here is very free and easy.

- A late afternoon spent watching the maasai bring home their cattle is always worthwhile. At this time of year there will only be small seasonal bomas in the area, with most Maasai having headed east to their green season pastures.
- And sundowners .... you can never have too many sundowners, as a time to stop, listen, exchange stories & soak it all up

Day 6 - Depart
- Time to leave Loliondo and head back to Ndutu to catch your plane out. Not a drive to be rushed, an early start will pay off in every respect as you catch life waking up in the early dawn.

What to expect
- A perfect combination of concentrated game viewing in the Serengeti itself and the freedom to walk, night drive or gently explore kopjes & riverlines at your own pace within the Loliondo private concession area.
- Expect to see the wildebeest migration, somewhere along the way unless you're very unlucky, big herds of zebra & eland, plains full of gazelle, huge variety of birdlife as well as amazing flowers after the first rains, lion & hyena galore (we hope) as well as cheetah and leopard if you're lucky.
- Enjoy the small authentic 6 tent Serengeti Safari Camp, in traditional safari style along with the more esoteric yurts of Nduara Loliondo, strangely very at home in the open plains of Maasailand.
- Its easy to include Ngorongoro Crater in this itinerary, either by extending a night at Serengeti Safari Camp and heading up into the Highlands for a day in the Crater itsellf, or drive out of Arusha and spend time in Karatu or Ngorongoro en route to the Serengeti.
- After this safari, think about heading up to Lamai Serengeti and the Mara River for a completely different view of the Serengeti ecosystem, with fabulous elephant and big concentrations of hippo & croc, or fly out west to Katavi & Mahale on one of Nomad's regular flights.
