Our vacation was actually a celebration because our daughter graduated from college. We found our celebration at Lamai Serengeti more than what we had hoped for. From the moment of our arrival at the air strip, we were warmly welcomed. Upon arriving at Lamai, we were warmly greeted again and served refreshments. We were oriented to the household rules and safety rules and regulations, which we appreciated a lot. Food service was a delight and something we looked forward to every single day. The food was excellent. But what made it special was the food service crew. They were all very courteous and professional. We felt special (specially our daughter) because of the special surprise they gave our daughter during our final dinner. Housekeeping was likewise excellent. Every part of Lamai was clean and tidy. The cottage was always clean. It was really a place I felt comfortable and very much relaxed. And these were all made possible because of all the ever-abled security personnel who made us feel safe and secure. To all the staff of Lamai, our heartfelt thanks and appreciation.
We also would like to thank our tour guide who was always punctual and gave more than 100% service in trying to accomodate our request during the safari experience.

Our stay at Lamai is one we will never forget. Everything about Lamai is special… the rooms, the meals, the setting, and most of all the people! The Lamai team made us feel so welcome. We hate that we have to leave!

Oasis of Cosy Rooms

Our family of two adults and four kids (15, 14, 12, 10) spent 3 weeks vacationing in Tanzania. Most of our trip was spent on safari in the various national parks. Our family of two adults and four kids (15, 14, 12, 10) spent 3 weeks vacationing in Tanzania. Most of our trip was spent on safari in the various national parks. Staying at Lamai Serengeti midway through the trip was a nice break in the busy schedule. This was an oasis of cosy rooms, lots of privacy, hot showers, a pool, a bar, and excellent meals. There were fuzzy hyraxes everywhere. The troop of Vervet monkeys were very entertaining. Our private deck looked out at the beautiful rolling hills, with elephants in the distance. Highly recommend staying here!

Authentic Safari Experience

What a wonderfully comfortable place to stay, with friendly and welcoming staff. We enjoyed a truly authentic safari on the vast Serengeti in beautiful Tanzania! Thank you for making our trip so memorable

Wonderful Temporary Home

We have had a wonderful few days at Mkombe house. We have a een incredible game and nature at its rawest. Coming back to our wonderful temporary home with comfortable beds, great company and lovely staff. Thanks in particular to Babu and Damien.
