Day 1. Arusha - Serengeti

Hop on an early flight from Arusha, up over the Ngorongoro Highlands and beyond to the wide plains of the Northern Serengeti. You'll be met by your Nomad guide for a short game drive to our Lamai Serengeti.  Relax, settle into your room, taking in the extraordinary views across the Lamai Wedge, and perhaps head out for a game drive after lunch to see the lay of the land.

Day 2. Lamai Serengeti

Rise early to the dawn chorus with a cup of tea on the verandah of your room. An early breakfast sees you boarding your safari car for a day out exploring.  Your guide knows this area well and will be able to interpret all that you see.  Take a picnic breakfast to be enjoyed in some beautiful spot, surrounded by wildlife.  Return to the camp in time for a hot shower and a well-earned drink by the fire before dinner.

Day 3. Lamai Serengeti

Lamai Serengeti has one of the most commanding vantage points in the whole Serengeti, so take some time to enjoy the view! Typically, early morning and afternoon game drives will take you out in search of predator and prey, stopping to watch as nature displays in all it's glory. Sundowners are pretty special in Africa and we like to enjoy ours from the top of our kopje - oh that view.

Depart from the Kogatende Airstrip for your flight to the Selous via Arusha. When you arrive at Kiba Airstrip you will be collected by your Nomad guide and driven back to Sand Rivers, set on the banks of the Rufiji River the whole atmosphere is different in the Selous.

Day 5. Selous Game Reserve

Your first full day in the Selous - and an adventure awaits. Take your pick from boat safaris, game drives and walking safaris. This is one of our favourite parks in Tanzania and it matters to us that you get to see the best of it.

Day 6. Selous Game Reserve

Today head out early at dawn for a walk through the bush with your expert guide. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about alll the little critters and marvel at your guides knowledge of tracks and signs of the bush. We love afternoon boat trips up the Rufiji River, drifting down the river as the sunsets and turns the water golden.

Day 7. Selous Game Reserve

Last days are all about making the most of your favourite activities - or just sitting in camp and soaking up the atmosphere. There are few places better to sit and just watch the world go by than Sand Rivers.
