Featured Safari:
CALVING AND CHIMPANZEES WITH MARGOT RAGGETT

Join us for an exclusive safari with Remembering Wildlife founder and producer, wildlife photographer Margot Raggett. Margot has raised more than $400,000 for conservation with her first two books, Remembering Elephants and Remembering Rhinos and her third book in the series, Remembering Great Apes, will be published in October 2018. Each book features beautiful images donated by many of the world’s top wildlife photographers.

Nomad Tanzania is a proud supporter of the project and many of the Mahale M-Community chimpanzees so loved by guests are featured in the new book. Co-hosting the safari will be our former lodge manager of Greystoke Mahale, Julien Polet, a chimpanzee and birding expert. Julien’s intimate knowledge of the M-Community will greatly enhance the group’s engagement with these special animals.

The safari starts with the wildebeest calving season in the Serengeti, a time of plenty for predators and full of action for photographers. Next, the group moves on to the magical Greystoke Mahale on the shores of Lake Tanganyika. From there the group will enjoy up to two treks to see the M-Community chimpanzees.

This group, with a maximum of 10 guests*, will have the freedom to explore the wonderful areas around both camps. During the safari there will be presentations by Margot about each book, the conservation projects that the funds raised have been supporting and also about how to improve your wildlife photography.

*Please note that a minimum of 7 guests are required for this safari to go ahead.
