Bernadette (Bernie) joined Nomad ten years ago working as a chef at Sand Rivers. Very quickly, Bernie revealed her culinary talents and was promoted to Head Chef in 2014. In this role, Bernie shone as she took the food experience in the south to new delights. After seven years as head chef, Bernie took the opportunity to move out from the heat of the kitchen and see life from the other side - gaining experience as a front of house manager. Loved by all guests that meet her, Bernie has such a sweet, calm and open nature. She is a wonderful addition to the management team with her attention to detail and love for the little things that make camp feel like a home away from home.
Following her stint in Sand Rivers, Bernie has moved west and joins the brilliant Mwiga as Greystoke co manager, and we are so proud of her. She has worked hard to get where she is and is a wonderful role model to all.
