Straight from the Wild

It is hot up in the northern Serengeti right now and the rain has not come yet, but every sign says it is close.
The herds are stacked up along the Mara river, hanging back, then going over in their hundreds. A lot of them are pushing north now, into the Lamai Wedge and over into the Mara itself. The bridge is open and passable, so we are getting across to stay with them.
Game viewing has been very good. Cats out in the open and even a rhino sighting or two.
