Drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your Nomad guide will take you on a journey through Maasai country and into Tarangire National Park.

Days 1 - 3

Kuro, Tarangire

Kuro is set amid a grove of trees on the banks of the Tarangire River. It is a place where we find harmony with nature's rhythms. We wake in the cool of the morning and walk straight out of camp to discover evidence of the night's activities along the course of the Tarangire River, it's the sort of rare freedom that we seldom enjoy in our busy lives. Later in the day we climb into 4WD cars and head out with the anticipation of discovery. This park is second only to the Serengeti in its concentration of wildlife and is well known for big herds of buffalo, elephant and prides of lazy lion sprawled in the shade of acacia scrub, and there are over 550 species of birds here.

Drive from Tarangire to the Ngorongoro Crater

A safari through Lake Manyara National Park before your guide takes you up into the Ngorongoro Highlands and to our Crater rim camp.

Days 3 - 5

Ngorongoro

At Entamanu Ngorongoro we define our version of this iconic wilderness. Our site allows us to drive down into the Crater soon after dawn and well before the crowds. Our guides, because they know wilderness is a pleasure best taken alone, are incredibly clever at avoiding people while showing you breathtaking wildlife. We love to walk, and walking along the Crater rim with our highly trained Nomad guides, an armed scout and a local Maasai it is a chance to learn about the smaller things, and the ancient Maasai culture. A visit to the nearby Maasai boma, to which we have exclusive access is an experience not to be missed.

Drive from the crater to the Serengeti

One of the most beautiful drives in Tanzania. You will descend with your guide from the Ngorongoro highlands, the vastness of the Serengeti plains opens up before you and you get a real appreciation of the scale of this iconic wilderness. Depending on your preference it is also possible to fly this route.

Days 5- 8

Serengeti Safari Camp

Serengeti Safari Camp was the first of it’s kind. It was designed with a purpose in mind; to be in the best possible location to view the wildebeest migration as it covers hundreds of miles of the Serengeti each year. So it should come as no surprise that it really hasn't changed much since it's early pioneering days. This camp is all about our fabulous guides getting you right into the action. Be it the drama of a river crossing, the awesome breathtaking moment of seeing the herds stretch for impossible miles, or a huddle of cheetah cubs in the long grass we are in the thick of it.
