Perfect Camp for Migration

A perfect camp - wonderful staff, food and accommodations- from which to see the migration. Our tireless guide did an amazing job showing us the river crossing and all that the Serengeti has. Highly recommended!

Where do I even begin? Staying at Nomad Serengeti Safari Camp was, without a doubt, one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. I’ve dreamed for years of witnessing the Great Migration, and thanks to Nomad, not only did I finally catch up with it—I had a front row seat to the greatest show on earth.

From the moment I arrived, everything was seamless. The camp strikes the perfect balance between rustic charm and understated luxury. It’s beautifully set up to blend into the landscape, allowing you to feel completely immersed in the wild while still enjoying comfort, warm showers, and seriously good food.

The heart of the experience, though, was the people. The entire team was welcoming, kind, and thoughtful—making me feel at home from the first day. Special thanks go to my guide, Godlove, who was calm, confident, and incredibly professional. He handled each day with quiet ease, always making sure I was comfortable, safe, and exactly where I needed to be to experience the magic of the Serengeti at its best.

One foggy morning, we set off before breakfast in search of the wildebeest. After a couple of hours of determined tracking, we found ourselves surrounded by tens of thousands of them—a sea of wildebeest stretching to the horizon. Then, as if things couldn’t get more surreal, Godlove set up breakfast right there in front of the herd. I had a cup of masala chai with Amarula and a delicious breakfast with the greatest view imaginable. That moment alone was worth the entire trip.

Another reason I felt so at ease throughout the safari is because I know Nomad goes the extra mile to have their guides trained as Wilderness First Responders, using one of the best wilderness medicine curriculums in the world—Wilderness Medical Associates International (WMAI). Knowing I was in capable, well-prepared hands gave me a huge sense of peace and trust in every part of the experience.

The meals at camp were fantastic, the beds cozy, and the attention to detail throughout—from the warm welcomes to the quality of guiding—was exceptional.

If you’re looking for a truly intimate, authentic, and awe-inspiring Serengeti safari experience, Nomad Serengeti Safari Camp is the place. And if you get the chance to go with Godlove—count yourself lucky. I know I do.
