Variety of Activities

We really enjoyed the variety of activities both on land and water. The camp is very nice and well situated with a direct view of the Rufiji River. The staff were very nice and friendly. Especially Bernie always took good care of us. The surprise on the last day was very nice and unforgettable.

Amazing and Natural Holiday

Best holiday I’ve ever been on. Everything was amazing and natural from the way we eat and sleep to seeing all the animals in their natural habitat, doing activities I’ve never done anywhere else and being educated along the way.

Amazing River Cruises

The staff at Sand Rivers was helpful and friendly. The river cruises were amazing…we saw lots of hippos and crocodiles. The variety of birds was amazing, and our guide knew a lot about them

Amazing Safari Ending

Our stay at Sand Rivers was an amazing ending to our safari. It was a place to slow down, unwind, and have our every need met. It was also an indescribable place to celebrate my birthday and the staff made my day special.

We loved our stay in Sand Rivers - we are extremely well travelled and know game lodges (we are from South Africa), and this is the best we have stayed in … views, food, service, variety of activities - apart from game drives, river boat outings, walking safari and night drives (where we saw leopard, hyenas and civet!). We were there out of season but saw a lot of wildlife … as good as Ruaha. Most of all we were blown away by the caring and flexible service from Sarah and her team, and our amazing guide Ernest.
