Extraordinary Safari Experience

Upon our arrival, the camp manager Mohammad, along with his entire staff, greeted us with cheerful smiles and refreshing towels to wipe our face and hands - the welcoming tone was set. The camp's location, on the crater's rim, is perfect for quick access to the crater itself and for beautiful sunrises from our private deck. The accommodations were exceptionally comfortable and the food was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our Maasai Walk with Joseph, a delightful, engaging young staff member whose pride in his Maasai heritage is palpable and inspiring. Breakfast in the Ngorongoro Crater, set up and presented by our guide, Joel, was hot, delicious, and bountiful - a truly unique experience.

Our Safari guide, Joel, was extraordinary. His patience with the animals, and us; his encyclopedic knowledge of the animals and their behavior; his fun, wry sense of humor; and, his genuine, easygoing personality all combined to make our 4 days with him absolutely perfect. He provided us with experiences and memories that will last a lifetime. We willingly and completely surrendered our time to Joel - getting up early to head out just before sunrise each day - because we knew the day would be full of fascinating surprises and experiences with the animals. We were not disappointed.

All in all, we could not have had a better safari experience. Back home, a month later, we are still thrilled by, and marveling at, our Nomad Safari adventure.
